Stalker Report: Zachary Quinto

Quinto

By popular demand :: cough :: Spitfire ::cough:: this post will detail what new Spock has cookin’ these days.

1.He’s making movies

There’s obviously the next installment in the Star Trek franchise coming up and he also stars in the new Ana Farris comedy, What’s Your Number?, about a woman looks back at the past twenty men she’s had relationships with in her life and wonders if one of them might be her one true love (one would hope for Quinto, but since it also stars Chris Evans, I think we all know how that’s going to shake out).

Quinto’s company, Before The Door, premiered it’s first feature film, Margin Call, at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah and at the Berlin Film Festival. The film chronicles 24 hours on the trading floor of an investment bank. Expect greed, moral grey areas, and a hot cast (Tucci alert!):

Margin Call

Before the Door also makes comic books, shorts, interactive design, and more.

2. He’s on the interlink

PERIODS. is comedy series based out of Brooklyn, NY, where historic context and accurate period dress mixes with an extremely modern style of comedy. Their short films include Pilgrims, a new spin on Ethan Frome, the Independence Day classic Forefathers, Halloween’s Hags, and two unique sketches called Before After, both featuring Mr. Quinto.

3. He’s on stage

…playing Louis Ironson in Signature Theatre Company’s production of Angels in America.

That’s all I could dig up. I feel a little awkward…with the stalking and whatnot…but overall better informed.

The Four Icon Challenge

Kyle Tezak, did you ever know that you’re my hero?

Tezak is doing this boss icon challenge–and you know how much I love pop culture boiled down to it’s simplest form. He calls them “tiny poems,” I call them tiny…poems. Yeah that’s actually perfect. Another reason to love him!

Expect to see more from Tezak on Dribbble and print editions in the near future. In fact, you can submit your vote to put your favorite at the top of his To Do.

Kyle Tezak: Romeo & Juliet

Kyle Tezak: The Life Aquatic

Kyle Tezak: The Big Lebowski

Kyle Tezak: The Great Gatsby

Marina & The Diamonds : Let’s share wardrobes, mmkay?

Cute band name, right? Well it’s a stage version of the lead singer’s actual name: Marina Lambrini Diamandis. Right?! She just John Francis Bongiovi’d us. The Welsh singer’s debut album, The Family Jewels, came out this February & I am officially obsessed. Marina is like the emo Lady Gaga. She rules, and it’s a very pro-lady rocker week on Little Junkies Radio in honor of The Runaways release tomorrow.

Oh yeah, and she is the one woman act that could topple OK Go from the “band with the best videos. EVER” shelf in my mind. See below.

I Am Not a Robot
Someone get me a tub of glitter, Swarovski crystals, and some body paint. Stat!

Best lyric

“Guess what? I am not a robot.”

Hollywood
I need some red lipstick. (See also the acoustic version)

Best lyric

“I’m obsessed with the mess that’s America”

Mowgli’s Road
Paper limbs!

Best lyric:

“You say Y-E-S to everything/ Will that guarantee you a win?”

Obsessions
I want an LED plunger puzzle!

Best lyric:

“One minute I’m a little sweetheart and the next minute you are an absolute creep”

Legomania

Random internet meanderings have landed me at The Brothers Brick, a Lego blog for grown-ups! Lego architecture kind of boggles my mind, especially my selections from their Movies & TV section:
