I have a case of the Mondays, so I’ve taken to the internet to work off some of my aggression. Here are a few of the highlights:
The Monday before Star Trek is released, May 4, is Star Wars day. Somewhere a Trekkie and a man in a Chewbacca suit are fighting to the death in their mom’s front yard.
It’s official, no one cares what movie critics think and everyone should just read our blog. X-Men Origins: Wolverine took in $87 million in three days.
47% of Wolverine’s audience was composed of women. And contrary to what the internets are saying it was not because Hugh hosted the Oscars. It was because Oprah had him on her show on Friday, May 1, and he was charming, modest and looked crazy cute when he blushed. She got a man elected president, she can give a man the 4th largest summer season opener weekend. Probably didn’t hurt that she showed every single scene he doesn’t wear clothes in…
I’m still very frustrated the studio heads released 2 separate “secret” endings to X-men. Why punish the fans who pay to see the movie cause some bag of douche watched a leaked copy? People who watch illegally downloaded movies are not people who typically pay to see a movie anyway. Yes, I saw the movie twice this weekend. Yes, one of the endings is better. No, neither of them are worth another $10 ticket.
Zachary Quinto is rumored to be leaving Heroes. I just stopped being a fan of Heroes, updates to follow.
I saved the past 5 episodes of Dollhouse and had myself a veg fest this weekend. The show is starting to get really strong now that they don’t have to pretend fans are stupid. Hopefully FOX keeps it and moves it out of the death time slot. I recommend catching up on Hulu before the episodes expire.
Fringe was just given an “early” season 2 renewal. You were probably woken up by my squee’s of glee when I found out. This post is a giant Hulu advertisement because I’m sending you there again to catch up on Fringe before the finale. No, you do not want to wait until the box set comes out. Yes, you will become addicted like it’s crack. But that’s the JJ Abrams way.
In celebration of JJ Abrams’ new movie being released at 7:00 p.m. this Thursday (I know wtf, right?) this week will be Star Trek week for the most part here at Little Junkies. I say for the most part because I’m more excited for Sylar ::whoops:: Zachary Quinto to get a movie role. Unless Junkie1 takes away my admin duties you’ll be hearing a lot about him.
